Greek Press History Data Project
History of Greek Journalism
The basic objective of ETMIET is the synthetic historiography of Greek journalism from the late 18th century to the present and its comparative study in relation to other national press histories.
To this end the ETMIET has established an electronic database, entitled Mapping the History of Greek Journalism. An Online Archive of Testimonies, Practices and Skills.
The database Mapping the History of Greek Journalism (…) is based on three main pillars:
Connecting the three Archives is essential for the better understanding and mapping of the human geography of Greek journalism and its historical development. In order to facilitate such a connection the Register of Greek-speaking Journalists, Publishers, and People of the Press in Greece and Abroad will form a fundamental part of the database.
In support of the above, an electronic Annotated Bibliography is being compiled.
